#HETOO

The general heading for a group semester project was "change of page" and there was the idea about the #metoo issue.

A really frightening fact when you consider that someone from Hamburg could not experience protection or would have no place of refuge in his surroundings, if he wanted to escape from the violent household. Poster campaigns for women, on the other hand, are something we all know. At the very least, we can say that as a woman, for example in public toilets, we are often confronted with such posters. "Don't look away". A sentence that is supposed to encourage even those who are not affected to help a victim on their own initiative/to show civil courage. But has any of us ever seen such a poster for men? We have not. And that is to change. We want to change that!

It has been important to us in our campaign not to arouse pity. Our society is almost indifferent to poverty, hunger and other suffering in the world. They look at a poster at the bus stop and forget it and its message immediately. The motifs and claims are intended to provide the "aha" moment, perhaps even shock, not a pitiful shake of the head. The faces of the victim and the perpetrators are not recognizable.
